Job Summary
PMIU is looking to fill three critical positions:
- Manager Network Support: In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the network infrastructure that supports PMIU’s systems and communications. You will oversee the management and maintenance of our network, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high levels of connectivity and security for all users.
- Process Engineer Dev Ops: As a Process Engineer in DevOps, your primary focus will be to streamline and optimize our development and operational processes. You will help us automate, monitor, and enhance the efficiency of the workflows, ensuring that our projects and initiatives run smoothly from start to finish.
- Associate: As an Associate, you will provide support in various tasks, including monitoring, data collection, reporting, and helping ensure the success of our programs. This entry-level role will give you the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals while learning how government programs are implemented and managed.
Responsibilities
1. Manager Network Support
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Network Management: Ensure that PMIU’s network systems are running smoothly. This includes managing servers, hardware, and software.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix network problems quickly to minimize downtime.
- Security: Implement and monitor security measures to protect our network from cyber threats.
- Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure the network supports their needs and functions without disruption.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, incidents, and fixes.
- Upgrades: Plan and implement network upgrades as needed to ensure the network is always up to date.
2. Process Engineer Dev Ops
As a Process Engineer in DevOps, you will:
- Process Optimization: Work on automating repetitive tasks and improving the efficiency of development and operations teams.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, quality assurance teams, and system administrators to optimize workflows and reduce bottlenecks.
- Monitoring: Monitor systems, applications, and processes to ensure they are running efficiently and troubleshoot when things go wrong.
- Automation: Help automate processes such as deployments, monitoring, and alerts to save time and increase reliability.
- Continuous Improvement: Ensure that all processes are continuously improved based on feedback and changing needs.
3. Associate
As an Associate, your duties will include:
- Support Activities: Assist team members with various tasks related to project monitoring, data collection, and reporting.
- Data Entry: Help enter, organize, and analyze data from ongoing projects to track progress and success.
- Communication: Keep everyone informed by communicating project updates, challenges, and achievements.
- Documentation: Ensure that project documentation is well-organized, up-to-date, and accurate.
- Field Visits: Occasionally travel to project sites to observe progress and gather data firsthand.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- For Manager Network Support:
- Strong understanding of computer networks, including hardware and software.
- Knowledge of network security practices.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly.
- Experience with network management tools and software.
- For Process Engineer Dev Ops:
- Knowledge of DevOps principles, including automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to improve operational efficiency.
- Experience with tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- For Associate:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to new challenges.
- Basic knowledge of data entry and report preparation is helpful.
Preferred Skills:
- For All Positions:
- Fluency in both English and Urdu.
- Experience working in development programs or with government projects is a plus.
- Knowledge of Punjabi is an added advantage.
Education and Experience
Required:
- Manager Network Support: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with at least 2-3 years of experience in network management.
- Process Engineer Dev Ops: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with at least 1-2 years of experience in DevOps, process automation, or software development.
- Associate: A Bachelor’s degree in any related field, with 1-2 years of experience in project management, administration, or data-related tasks. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply!
Preferred:
- Manager Network Support: Certifications in network management (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate or similar) are preferred.
- Process Engineer Dev Ops: Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines would be a plus.
- Associate: Previous experience in monitoring or administrative support in government or development projects will be a plus.
Location
These positions are based in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Some roles, such as the Associate, may require occasional travel to other parts of Punjab to support projects in the field.
